When I was little, and there was no power at night, my siblings and I would look at the starry sky. Inspired by my childhood and that starry sky, I decided to design this scarf.

The length of the scarf represents the Peruvian sky (long and wide), and the inlays of alpaca fiber represent the stars. The material used is baby alpaca wool because it is an exceptionally fine and soft fiber, just like the memories I have of that Andean starry sky.

Made of 100% Peruvian alpaca wool and handwoven by Alberto and the community of weavers in Puno-Peru. We strive to improve the life of the artisans and indigenous communities from Perú and empower them to change their local communities for the better. By working closely with them, they are able to provide for their families and their communities.

I hope that each Andina World piece adds warmth and beauty to your home and outfit for years to come and that you find a truly unique, one-off handmade piece.

Dry cleaning is the best option for removing stains or occasional cleaning.

Andina World has a lot of heart in it. We work with artisans from the far remote areas of Peru, with women who have few opportunities to earn an income and with people facing social challenges. All our products are handmade. From our textiles tied naturally using native plants to our handloomed products using ancient Inca's technique, we try to preserve heritage .

Above all Andina World pays respect to the craftsmanship heritage and the people behind every product. Meaning that all our items are fairly traded, as every artisan has received a fair and honest payment for their work .

I hope that each Andina World piece adds warmth and beauty to your home and outfit for years to come and that you find a truly unique, one-of handmade piece.
