Feel the hands of the Peruvian Andes with these baby alpaca mittens gloves. Knitted in Puno, a city in the South east of Peru, these baby alpaca gloves have been produced in small batches and no dyes have been used, making them chemical free.

The yarns used to hand-knitted these gloves, have been hand-spun, not machine spun. Something, we believe, it can be rare these days even with handmade or hand loomed accessories. This makes the Andina mitten gloves a truly unique, one-off piece.

Perfectly combined with other models as an under-glove. But also worn alone, it offers reliable warm in cooler temperatures, as alpaca is warmer than cashmere and merino.

Andina World has a lot of heart in it. We work with artisans from the far remote areas of Peru, with women who have few opportunities to earn an income and with people facing social challenges. All our products are handmade. From our textiles dyed naturally using native plants to our handloomed products using ancient Inca's technique, we try to preserve heritage .

Above all Andina World pays respect to the craftsmanship heritage and the people behind every product. Meaning that all our items are fairly traded, as every artisan has received a fair and honest payment for their work .

I hope that each Andina World piece adds warmth and beauty to your home and outfit for years to come and that you find a truly unique, one-off handmade piece.

Made with higher standards. We preserve artisan craft by paying wages that average 2x the fair trade requirement.

Dry cleaning is the best option for removing stains or occasional cleaning.

Alpaca is a natural fibre. It is softer, stronger and warmer than merino and cashmere. Alpaca farming is sustainable, as alpacas are free roaming and shorn once a year. Alpaca fibre can last decades and it will bio-degrade at the end of its useful life.
