For the design of this alpaca blanket, I was inspired by my childhood home. In our house, we had a wooden porch and main door with diamond patterns. Back then, only a few houses displayed the street number and name, so when asked how to quickly identify our house, we would always say it is the one with the porch featuring the diamond pattern.

That's why I decided to use diamonds patterns for the fringes of the blanket. Because, for me, blankets symbolise home, and so does the diamond-patterned porch of my childhood home.

Produced in low volume batches by Peruvian artisans, I hope that each Andina World piece adds warmth and beauty to your home and outfit for years to come and that you find a truly unique, one-off handmade piece.

Alpaca is a natural fibre. It is softer, stronger and warmer than merino and cashmere. Alpaca farming is sustainable, as alpacas are free roaming and shorn once a year. Alpaca fibre can last decades and it will bio-degrade at the end of its useful life.
